ASS Altrip reading competition on Wednesday, June 8th, 2022 This year it was finally time again: A reading competition took place in all classes. The students from the first to fourth grades practiced diligently with commitment and joy in reading in order to be well prepared and as relaxed as possible. Who's accents are best? Who captivates the audience the most? Even our first graders mastered this task excellently. After the two best readers had been determined in each class, they now competed against the children of the parallel classes on the day of the competition. In a first round, they presented a short passage from a book of their choice, and then in the second round they read out a text they were unfamiliar with. All readers showed very good reading performance and made the assessment difficult for the jury. The jury of class teachers was once again actively supported this year by Mrs. Gebert from the community library. A heartfelt thank you for this at this point.
The class winners of the third classes also took part in the Ludwigshafen city decision and our winner will now represent our school in the reading competition of the elementary schools in Ludwigshafen and the surrounding area in September. We're keeping our fingers crossed for that!
At the end of the day, one winner from each class received a book prize and a certificate. All other readers also received a certificate and a bookmark. Congratulations!
