"The Little Prince" visiting the Albert Schweitzer School

The Theaterkumpanei from Ludwigshafen was a guest on March 23, 2022 for the second and fourth graders and on March 24, 2022 for the first and third graders. Bärbel Maier and Peer Damminger delighted the children with their own version of the "Little Prince".

The play was told very imaginatively and so all classes shared the fever with the great pilot who, after his plane crash in the Sahara, is sitting in front of the wreck of his Fox 38, has nothing left to drink and feels sorry for himself. Everyone listened intently to the tales of the little prince, who talked about his planet with the three volcanoes and the baobab trees and sometimes transformed his watering can into a spaceship.

We thank the theater companions for visiting our school.

Strong kids say "no"

All first and second grades of the Albert Schweitzer School were attended by the prevention trainer Ms. Schalkowsky this school year and trained with her on three dates to recognize dangerous situations and to assert oneself confidently. The children practiced with Ms. Schalkowsky, among other things, "saying no" out loud or reacting to teasing. Through role-playing and exercises, the children trained their self-confidence and strengthened their natural self-confidence. Together with their parents, the children thought about who they could go to and how they should behave if someone spoke to them. For emergencies, Ms. Schalkowsky showed the children how to defend themselves with certain self-defence techniques.
